Day 1: Sadly we had to say goodbye to Austin this morning to begin the first day of a 2 week or so long journey cross country... We left at 8:30 from our friends' house. We're going to miss you all!!
Evie was the only one not sad, she was excited for the car trip..
We packed a ton into the new CR-V including 2 cats, Evie and Lou..
We went through Dallas (pic below) all the way to Muskogee OK
Prissy was pretty comfortable...Bunny is a little more freaked out. 
Louie was Evie's companion for the first half. Then mom or dad rode with her to keep her occupied. So "dog was our copilot" in the passenger seat for the second half of the trip.
Tomorrow we head off to Laurie Missouri to the cabin and to see Jack's brother and his family as well. They're trip through Missouri happened to coincide with ours and we're so excited to see everyone!
Good night all. We're exhausted and will hopefully sleep well. This LaQuinta has feather pillows! I'm so excited - night night!!
