Fun weekend

I had a good weekend not going to work, unfortunately Rx had to work on Saturday, but we had fun on Sunday..

Evie is an angel as always.... So is Louie, complete with halo

Here's the angel, Evie's, picture ... for comparison.

Evie is standing more and more these days, still with our help of course.

We went to 2 museums for Austin Museum day and took a total of one picture (below).. check out the giant nautilus fossils on the trail. I couldn't help but imagine how tasty these extinct cephalopods must have been.. like a mixture between a lobster and a squid... it made me hungry just thinking about it...

So after several false starts and after battling extremely crappy parking in south Austin we arrived at Mighty Cone (where everything is served in a cone) it was pretty good.
Evie was sooo good the whole time, she didnt cry at all the whole 3 hrs we were out... she was better behaved than we were trying to find a parking spot.

trip to MO

Evie spent a lot of time traveling and she did very well!
She got to meet Stinker who kissed her face a little too much..
Aunt Dori on the other hand kissed her face just right.

Here is Grandpa before going to the dreaded work.

Uncle Bill stopped by to say hello and have dinner and meet Evie.
I found this cleaning out my old room... circa 1982 Cardinals headband...

Grandma, Rx, and Evie hangin out in front of an ominous hornet's nest

Evie got to meet her new cousin Greyson on the trip!
Arlene snapped this great photo of our family with great grandpa.

In Columbia, we got to introduce Evie to Uncle Andy
Aunt Katie had a good time smilin Evie up..

Great trip, thanks everyone for your hospitality!!!

Jarts: The most dangerous game...

While visiting Roxanne's Dad, we noticed he had some Jarts in the closet, what a treasure trove of danger! We had to play!!

Jarts and other lawn darts are of course banned, because or their inherent deadly nature which was overlooked or unimagined in the more innocent days of decades past.

And now my PSA: Jarts are no joke, DO NOT LET KIDS USE JARTS!!! It is a tragedy waiting to happen..

I can see the appeal though.. they were very fun, more fun than horseshoes for sure.
