Really? What do they get in to? Was she playing in the mud recently? Well, we were told by a very reputable video (brought to us by the good folks at Nestle - hey, they're a corporation, they're not in it for the money) that babies need a bath every few days. Alright, cool. Something to DO with the baby. Good. So far it's been eating, changing diapers, swaddling, sleeping, eating, change the diaper, swaddle, sleep....oh, and lots of staring at the baby in between. This parenting thing is a snap! What are people complaining about? Ha ha, of course I'm joking, I know there is a lot coming down the road that I'm sure we're not ready for.
Anyway, back to the bath. We finally got to break out the cute little froggie hooded towel and Aveno bath wash we got from Beth. Beth is Kirk's fiance, for those not in the know like we are. Apparently Kirk was also busy the night Evie was born - no I don't know THAT many details...I just mean they got engaged.
Afterward she got to wear her new bathrobe from Aunt Joan. It was a little big, but hey, any excuse to dress up a baby and take pictures if you ask me.
THEN, we got to use an official swaddler - the ONLY thing that comforts the child. Marta got us one for our shower. This evening she and I were discussing the virtues of swaddling. It is true....babies love it. It's a dirty little secret no one wants you to know. We thought she looked like the Glo Worm.
Only a lot freakin cuter!!
Bunny just took over the Boppie nursing pillow, completely unamused.
